In the Province of La Rioja, located at Northern Argentina, with extension of approximately 89,000 km², ESTEIO performed Digital Image Treatment services to obtain Image Charts in 1:50,000 scale from SPOT and LANDSAT scenes.<\/p>\n
Services were started in 1997, when Aerial Photogrammetric Coverages in 1:5,000 scale were performed in urban locations and in 1:20,000 scale in suburban and rural locations. With the result of these coverages and subsequent photogrammetric and aerial triangulation support services, Planialtimetric Maps were obtained in 1:5,000 and 1:1,000. <\/p>\n
As a supplement to these activities, an Urban\/Rural Cadastre was performed in urban and suburban locations, totaling approximately 83,000 urban real estate units and approximately 5,000 suburban real estate units.<\/p>\n
Cadastre services were supported by the Cartographic Base and the Land certificate, cadastral division and nomenclature provided by the Province.<\/p>\n
For rural real estates, which are approximately 1,500 in total, a Geographic Information System was created making the 1:50,000 Image Chart compatible with graphic data obtained from rasterization and vectorization of Property Maps (HRGs − Hojas de Registro Gráfico − Graphic Record Sheets) provided by the Province.<\/p>\n
Numerous benefits to be obtained from the services include, mainly, the significant increase in the Province tax collection.<\/p>\n
