The Final Engineering Project with Orthophotos was elaborated for the first time to meet the modernization needs requested by DER-PR.
The goal was to implement a new highway in the metropolitan region of the cities of Ibiporã, Londrina and Cambé with the purpose of reducing the heavy traffic in the central areas of these cities.
Positive factors of the effort in digital medium include easy viewing, easy reproduction, dynamic handling of topographic data, higher execution speed and saving more money.
Since then, ESTEIO has been systematically using the orthophoto technique as cartographic basis for road projects.
