The Federal Government, through SUDENE, created the Northeast Region Development program with the purpose of promoting economic and social development of the Northeast region.

The private enterprise was in charge of the Cadastral Operations of the Northeast Project, which were divided in 4 steps:

    • Cartographic Bases (1:25,000 flight, orthophotomaps and 1:10,000 and 1:5,000 planialtimetric charts);
    • Cadastral Survey (Field survey, generation of technical parts in the office);
    • Clarification of real estate legal status;
    • Producing the documentation for Land Regulation (Titling).

ESTEIO executed for State Land Bodies of Maranhão State (ITERMA), Paraíba State (FUNDAP), Alagoas State (ITERAL) and Sergipe State (FUNDASE), the technical cadastre of more than 37,000 Real Estate units covering a 7,400 km² area.
