The Rural Road State Program “Caminho para Educação e Desenvolvimento (Path for Education and Development)” basically consists of paving 3.60 m of walkways in rural roads with low traffic, which link villages and municipal headquarters, with the purpose to facilitate the crop Transportation of small producers and children to rural schools.
ESTEIO executed a basic experimental Project for the 2nd Regional Center of DER/PR − Ponta Grossa − in cooperation with its technicians.
Efforts consisted of a cadastral survey of the area, focusing on the main problematic points and indicating the paving type to be executed with local material appropriate to the traffic, execution speed and low costs.
With the result of various experimental tracks, DER can verify the feasibility of performing the proposed program as a whole.
