ESTEIO S.A. digitally rescued a technical booklet from the company Serviços Aerofotogramétricos Cruzeiro do Sul, dated 1956, in which the Aerial Photogrammetry technique of that era is explained for company technicians and laypeople alike, with the aim of enriching knowledge of the processes involved.
Upon closer inspection, it's notable that its basic principles and activities remain very similar today, even after decades of Aerial Photogrammetry's evolution.
With the digital recovery of this booklet, ESTEIO S.A. hopes to preserve a bit of the history of Aerial Photogrammetry in Brazil and pays a simple tribute to one of the pioneering companies in this activity, which contributed greatly to cartographic knowledge and to the advancement of our country.
