The Careta Dam Project is another work to be executed by the Development Company of São Francisco Valley – CODEVASF, based on irrigation, and consequently the economic/social development, and whose goal is to eliminate poverty from less favored regions of the São Francisco River Valley.

ESTEIO performed Aerial Photogrammetric Cadastre services of the area destined to the future Careta Dam Project in Macururé River, located in the ities of Macururé and Chorrochó, in the State of Bahia, Brazil, for CODEVASF.

Services developed included the Aerial Photogrammetric Coverage in 1:15,000 scale, in approximately 4,000 ha, Ground Survey, Aerial Triangulation and Stereocompilation in 1:5,000 scale until misappropriation threshold, essential to limit cadastre services.

In addition to conventional Aerial Photogrammetric and Cadastre Survey, both from the Physical and Agricultural and Legal perspectives, the Assessment of each of the real estates was performed according to NBR 8799 of February 1985, in order to enable CODEVASF to carry out corresponding indemnifications.

Main activities and products of this service are highlighted below:

    • Planialtimetric Stereocompilation of the region until Flood Threshold, essential to define work and misappropriation boundaries;
    • Identification of real estate boundaries and implementation of at least one concrete monument in one of the real estate vertices to support current and future works in the reservoir area;
    • Detailed survey and description of all existing improvements in the real estate which were photographed with identifying sign to support real estate Assessment;
    • Detailed survey of ground use for agricultural purposes, also to support the real estate Assessment;
    • Survey of the real estate’s legal situation, through direct inquiry to occupants or owners or through reference in registry office, to make up the Cadastral File;
    • Individual Drawing and Specifications of each property reached by the dam to make up the Cadastral File;
    • Cadastral Map constituted by the real estate network to be affected;
    • Research to fixate basic unit values to be adopted in the Assessment;
    • Cadastral Files of each real estate containing the Individual Drawing of the property, Domain Title Certificate, Real Estate Specifications and each improvement with its respective Picture, Cadastral Form, Calculation and Assessment Worksheets of each improvement, essential to provide technical support to the misappropriation and indemnification negotiations
