The ICA is the Aeronautic Ministry organization subordinated to DEPV (Flight Protection Electronic Board of Directors) which has the mission to plan and execute the activities related to Aeronautic Cartography.
For that, it acts in different technological areas: Geodesy, Topography, Remote Sensing, Graphic Film Processing, Cartography and Electronic Data Processing.
It is responsibility of the ICA to support the DEPV in elaborating the standards, coordination and control of the airport system’s activities. That is, it supports flight protection planning, implementation, operation and infrastructure maintenance in Brazilian airspace and in the areas under the country’s responsibility.
To support airport restructuring services to be performed by ICA, ESTEIO executed Digital Cartography Services for Manaus Airport in 1:2,000 and 1:10,000 scales, based on pre-existing Aerial Photogrammetric Coverage in 1:8,000 and 1:30,000 scales, respectively.
